Noise Barrier Standard ColorsIndustrial and Architectural Noise Barriers: We recommend the use of TGIC Polyester because it optimizes the coating based on its UV stability and corrosion protection of the product.
Highway / Roadside Noise Barriers: Due to the extreme environmental conditions experienced by roadside barriers, we recommend the use of an epoxy prime coat and Super Durable/Graffiti Resistant Aliphatic Urethane Polyester (SD/GRAUP ) because it optimizes the coating based on its extended color and gloss stability and the graffiti protection is formulated in a Dupont exclusive feature. This resin system also provides excellent UV stability and corrosion protection. Minimum order quantities may apply to this powder.
Powder Coat Product Color Choices:
Alesta TGIC Polyester Powder Coat - All RAL's from Dupont's Alesta fan deck of color chips are standard colors. Most of the RAL's are available from stock for TGIC Polyester powders. Lead-time on colors not in stock is usually not critical to the scheduling of product delivery if the color choice is known when the order is placed for Acoustax panels. When selecting a color, reference the RAL Number (Do not use the color name).
Alesta Super Durable/Graffit Resistant Aliphatic Urethane Polyester Powder Coat - State highway engineers usually select colors from the Federal Standard Color 595B fan deck (GSA 7690-01-162-2210). If earth tone colors are selected to blend the color of the noise barrier into the environment, and to optimize the anti-graffiti properties of the panel, the recommended Federal colors for SD/GRAUP powders include: Brown 20117, 20475; Beige 26424; Cream 23697; Yellow 23540; Green 24097, 24533; Blue 25189, 25190; Gray 26559, 26622. This list was created in response to the demand for particular coating properties by one highway department. Other colors are available and will perform with excellent results. Minimum order quantities apply to this powder coat system.
